# Glossary

* **Blockchain Layer (L2):** A secondary framework built on top of a main blockchain to improve scalability and performance.
* **Staking:** The process of holding funds in a cryptocurrency wallet to support the operations of a blockchain network.
* **Tokenomics:** Economic policies and strategies surrounding the issuance, management, and utilization of cryptocurrencies within a platform.
